Mann Island, Liverpool was in transition at the time. The buildings in front of the Three Graces had just been demolished to make way for the controversial Latitude and Longitude buildings. Design is subjective, but they were controversial in the fact that they blocked this lovely view of the Three Graces and George’s Dock Ventilation Tower from the south of the city. Oh well, what’s done is done, but I do wonder how Liverpool Council gave permission for them to be located there, when they were far more suitable nearer the Liverpool One development.
