Liverpool Cathedral at night

The amazing architecture of Liverpool Cathedral

Liverpool Cathedral at night with the moon above the tower

Liverpool Anglican Cathedral was designed by Giles Gilbert Scott. It was constructed between 1904 and 1978 and is the longest cathedral in the world at 207 yards (189 m) .

Liverpool Cathedral is visible as far as North Wales and Blackpool on a clear day and is a major tourist attraction in the city. It has some of the best views of Liverpool and further afield from the tower, but get wrapped up as it can be quite windy up there. You take two lifts to access the tower and another 100 plus steps to walk at the end.
